STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WSAU) -- The Stevens Point man accused of supplying cookies with illegal ingredients was in court Monday.
21-year-old Darren Blair was in Portage County court, where he entered a not guilty plea to supplying marijuana-laced cookies to his co-workers at a restaurant March 22nd. The complaint says Blair had the cookies in the break room of the Charcoal Grill restaurant in Plover, and a co-worker ate two of them before getting sick.
The woman that ate the cookies said Blair was asking everyone if they wanted some “pot cookies.” The complaint says there were plenty, as he had a large ziplock bag full of cookies and a container with more chocolate chip and marijuana dough in his car.
Blair no longer works at the restaurant, but is employed elsewhere. He is free on a $1,500 cash bond.
Blair waived his right to a preliminary hearing. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for June 2nd.
