GREEN BAY, WI (LEARFIELD-WSAU) Alabama linebacker Adrian Hubbard said he wasn't drafted because of a minor heart abnormality.  The Green Bay Packers agreed to a free-agent deal with Hubbard after the draft ended on Saturday.

He flew to Green Bay yesterday to submit papers which he said had cleared him of a problem that turned up on his E-K-G exam at February's scouting combine.  Hubbard said he was cleared by Atlanta Falcons' cardiologist Charles Brown, and he was confident he would pass the physical the Packers would give him.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel said at least one team refused to draft Hubbard because of his medical condition.  He was projected to be a middle-round draft choice, after starting the last two seasons as Alabama's strong outside linebacker.  He had ten sacks in 36 games, and a total of 18 tackles for losses in his three seasons with the Crimson Tide.
