GREEN BAY, WI (LEARFIELD-WSAU) The Green Bay Packers have announced the signings of 12 undrafted free agents. That includes Alabama outside linebacker Adrian Hubbard, who said he wasn't drafted because of a minor heart abnormality that was cured this spring. Hubbard passed his Green Bay physical, and he's scheduled to take part in the team's rookie orientation camp this weekend.
Besides Hubbard, the Packers signed six other defensive players -- linemen Carlos Gray and Mike Pennel, corner Ryan White, and linebackers Jake Doughty, Joe Thomas, and Jayrone Elliott.
Five offensive players were signed -- quarterback Chase Rettig, guard Jordan McCray, tight end Justin Perillo, and running backs LaDarius Perkins and Rajion Neal. Also, the Packers released outside linebacker Chase Thomas. He was signed as a street free agent in early January.
The Packers also announced a couple of new vice presidents. Craig Benzel was promoted to the V-P of sales and business development, after heading the team's marketing and corporate sales for 12 years. Gabrielle Valdez-Dow was brought in as the new vice president of marketing and fan engagement. She was a marketing V-P for Baltimore since 2006.
