(Madison, WI) — The Wisconsin football team now has four offensive linemen out with injuries. Redshirt junior Walker Williams came up wobbly at practice yesterday and was helped off the field. He started camp as a reserve guard but became the Number-One right tackle.
Senior Ray Ball missed yesterday’s practice with a right arm injury. Sophomore Hayden Biegel is out with a concussion, and Beau Benzschawel is expected to miss the rest of the pre-season camp with a bad knee.
Freshman guard Jon Dietzen returned yesterday after an ankle injury, but he did not take part in the full-team drills. Three redshirt freshmen were on the Badgers’ Number-One line by the end of practice.
Offensive line coach Joe Rudolph says he can’t remember so many injuries at camp, but he has to “keep going.” 20th-ranked Wisconsin opens its season September 5th against Alabama.
