MILWAUKEE, WI (LEARFIELD-WSAU) For the second game in a row, the Bucks will face a team that’s close to Milwaukee in the N-B-A playoff chase. The Bucks host Indiana tonight, after beating Miami on Tuesday to create a little breathing room for the Number-six playoff spot in the East with 11 games left.
The Bucks were idle last night, while their lead over the seventh-place Heat narrowed to two games with a 93-86 Miami victory over Boston. Indiana and Boston are tied for the final two East playoff spots, four games behind Milwaukee — while Charlotte and Brooklyn still have a chance at sneaking into the post-season and possibly knocking out the Bucks. The Hornets and Nets are both a half-game behind Indiana and Boston.
Milwaukee will face a Pacers’ squad that won at Washington last night, 103-to-101. George Hill scored 29 points for Indiana, and he made a game-winning lay-up with two-point-seven seconds left. That ended a six-game losing streak for Indiana.
The Bucks also dropped six straight just before its Tuesday night victory over Miami.
