MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — What began as a pitcher’s duel collapsed into a complete rout of the Milwaukee Brewers, who lost 11-5 Saturday to the Cincinnati Reds.
Brewers ace pitcher Zach Davies kept cool and held the Reds to one run through five complete innings. The sixth inning would prove to be deadly,as Davies would be responsible for four more runs out of a total eight, tying the Reds’ best inning this season and turning a 1-0 game into a 9-0 game.
Ryan Braun crushed his twentieth home run of the season, but it was too little, too late. The Brewers will try and avoid the sweep on Sunday, with pregame coverage beginning at 12:35 on the Brewers Radio Network.
