MARSHFIELD, Wis (WSAU) — It’s “Marshfield Clinic Day” across Wisconsin this Thursday, and Maree Stewart from the clinic says it’s thanks to a proclamation from the governor in recognition of the health care giant’s 100th anniversary.
“Governor Scott Walker declared October 13th ‘Marshfield Clinic Day’ in Wisconsin, celebrating Marshfield Clinic’s rich history in the state, and its impact on economics and the communities,” Stewart said.
The day’s especially important and being celebrated in the city where it all began a century ago. “The City of Marshfield also declared October 13th “Marshfield Clinic Day” here in Marshfield as well,” according to Stewart. “Again, just really celebrating “enriching lives for generations” and we’re very excited to celebrate.”
October 10th through October 14th has been designated “Marshfield Clinic Legacy Week,” featuring a number of presentations, tours, and special events.
