MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — Strong pitching from the Cincinnati Reds and a late game surge doomed the Milwaukee Brewers to a 6-1 loss Saturday.
Reds pitcher Dan Straily surrendered just five hits and one run over six-and-two-thirds innings to pick up his 14th win of the season. Brewers starter Taylor Jungmann gave up two runs in four frames with a strong performance in his first start since April, but five Brewers relief pitchers gave up seven hits and four runs combined. Domingo Santana supplied the lone run for the Brew Crew with a solo homer in the second.
The last home game for the Brewers in 2016 comes Sunday, and it could be the last home game for the club’s home run leader, Ryan Braun, who was the subject of trade talks during the summer. Pregame coverage begins at 12:35 p.m. on the Brewers Radio Network.
Programming note for WSAU: The game on Sunday, 9/25, will be aired on our sister station, Fox Sports Radio AM 1390 and FM 93.9.
