RHINELANDER, WI (WSAU) — A Rhinelander woman accused of trying to have her husband killed by a hitman had her bond reduced by a judge on Tuesday.
Megan Danielczak was in a Rhinelander court for a pre-trial hearing. According to online court records her defense is still obtaining additional documents for the case.
A judge did rule her bond reduced from $15,000 to $5,000 and allowed Danielczak to attend her children’s sporting events, but she must stay away from her husband.
She is accused of paying an undercover agent over $400 and three rings as a down payment to have her husband killed, with the promise of over $4,000 more once the job was complete and she sold her husbands pickup. Court documents say she was afraid that she could not make ends meet financially if she chose to go though with a divorce instead.
The judge also ordered her to have no contact with her husband other than to arrange for the pickup or drop-off of their children, which must be monitored by a third party.
A pre-trial conference has been scheduled for June 26th at 3 PM.
According to online Court records Danielzcak’s husband has filed for divorce.
