TOMAHAWK, WI (WSAU) — A bar and grill in Lincoln County has been reported as a COVID-19 exposure site.
According to a press release from the Lincoln County Health Department, Outboards Bar & Grill in Tomahawk had an individual visit that was contagious for COVID-19. The individual visited the restaurant on Saturday, July 25th. No other information is being made public about the individual.
Patrons who were at Outboards on the 25th and weren’t able to social distance are being asked to stay at home as much as possible and monitor for symptoms over the next 14 days. If someone needs to leave their home they are advised to wear a face covering, keep a minimum physical distance of 6 feet, and practice good hand hygiene.
Bill Eastwood the owner of Outboards says of the exposure, “We, at Outboards Bar & Grill, will be following the advice and guidance provided to us from the Lincoln County Health Department. We will be closing our business immediately in order to sanitize. We plan to reopen Wednesday, August 5.
While the Lincoln County Health Department assesses the health of our exposed employees, we will only be able to provide carry-out orders. When we feel confident that all of our staff members are safe and healthy, we will decide when it is best to reopen our doors for dine-in customers. We will continue to update our Facebook page as we know more.”
The Health Department is currently working on identifying close contacts and positive cases linked to the exposure at Outboards.
