STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — A convicted sex offender has been released in Stevens Point.
Willie H Jackson was released on Tuesday and is now living at 1504 Water Street after the completion of his sentence for forcing intercourse on a female acquaintance. Officials say he will be closely monitored by the Department of Corrections and will be forced to wear a GPS monitor.
Additionally, Jackson will be forced to comply with a lifetime registration on the state’s sex offender registry.
In addition to charges of sexual assault, Jackson also has prior convictions of 4th-degree sexual assault, false imprisonment, intimidating a victim with the use of force, and stealing a car.
As part of the conditions of his release, Jackson is to have no unsupervised contact with minors, no contact with the victims and must maintain absolute sobriety.
Residents are reminded that any attempt to intimidate, harass, or threaten a registered sex offender will not be tolerated. Information about sex offenders is made public as a means of informing residents.
