WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (WSAU) – The Wood County Health Department says there may be Coronavirus at a local golf course. They say people who played the Homestead Golf Course earlier this month should monitor for symptoms of COVID-19.
They say an individual who was there during their infectious period of the virus was at the course and in the bar on Saturday, August 1, from 6:00pm to 11:00 pm; on Monday, August 3 and Tuesday, August 4; on Thursday, August 6th from 2:30pm to 6:00pm; and from Saturday, August 8th from 7:00am to 3:00pm.
A statement on the course’s Facebook page says: “It has been brought to our attention that a couple of golfers that played in the 3 person scramble on Saturday, August 8th have tested positive for Covid”
The health department says anyone who was present during those times should monitor for symptoms. Anyone who becomes ill should self-isolate and contract their medical provider to arrange for testing.
