MILWAUKEE, WI (MetroSource-WSAU) — Byron Buxton went 3-for-5 with a pair of solo homers as the Twins trounced the Brewers 12-2 in Milwaukee.
Miguel Sano also homered for Minnesota, which led 12-0 by the sixth. Kenta Maeda pitched two-run ball into the seventh inning to improve to 3-and-0.
Eric Lauer allowed nine hits and seven runs in less than four innings to take the loss. Luis Urias singled in the lone Milwaukee runs in the sixth. The Brewers dropped two-of-three in the series and have lost four of their last six overall.
The Brewers face the Cubs tonight…pre game show at 5:40 on WSAU.
