MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) The struggling Milwaukee Brewers made several roster moves on Thursday to shore up their pitching staff.
Eric Lauer and Justin Grimm were sent to the alternate training site in Appleton. Drew Rasmussen and Angel Perdomo will replace them on the 28 man roster.
Lauer is 0-2 with a 12.54 ERA in three appearances. Grimm had to leave his last game early after a blister on his pitching hand.
Rasmussen looked good this past spring and pitched well when camp resumed in the summer. He did return last season from two Tommy John surgeries.
The 26 year old Perdomo, who is 6’8″, struck out 107 in 691/3 innings in the minors last season.
