OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — President Donald Trump’s campaign has officially announced that he will visit Oshkosh as part of a Midwestern swing on Monday.
The campaign says Trump will stop at Basler Flight Service at 4:30 p.m. Monday. He is expected to discuss presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden’s record on jobs and the economy. Public attendance details were not listed.
The visit is the same day the Democratic National Convention begins. The convention had been scheduled for Milwaukee, but will be held mostly remotely amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Trump’s stop in Oshkosh is scheduled for two and a half hours after a stop in Mankato, Minnesota. Trump came within 1.5 percentage points of carrying Minnesota in 2016 and has made winning the state a priority this year. He is also scheduled to appear in Yuma, Arizona, on Tuesday.
