Vilas Co. reports first COVID-19 death

EAGLE RIVER, WI (WSAU) — A Northwoods county has recorded its first COVID-19 fatality.

Vilas County has reported the first COVID-19 related death in the county.

According to the health department, the person was in their 60’s and had severe underlying health conditions.

There have been 80 cases of COVID-19 in Vilas County since the pandemic began.
