WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The Wausau School District has announced there is a vacancy on the school board after the resignation of a long-time teacher and board member Theresa Miles.
According to a news release from the school district Miles is resigning due to an ongoing health issue. She has served on the board since 2010. Prior to that, she was a teacher in the Wausau School District for more than 30 years.
Anyone interested in filling the remainder of Miles’ term is asked to submit an application including biographical data, a statement of interest, and their qualifications. Applications must be submitted by September 28th. The board will then interview the top four candidates during an open meeting on October 12th. The chosen applicant will then be sworn in that evening.
They will then serve the remainder of Miles’ term, which runs through April 2022.
