MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers have won 3 in a row as they battle for a playoff spot. They topped the Kansas City Royals 5-0 on Saturday night at Miller Park.
Corbin Burnes continued his excellent season with six shutout innings allowing just four hits, no walks and nine strikeouts.
The bullpen continued to shine as Devin Williams and Drew Rasmussen threw three hitless innings with six strikeouts.
Ryan Braun, who left Friday’s game with a bad back, was in the lineup at the DH spot and had a three run homer in the 8th inning. It was his fifth homer in the month of September.
The Brewers are tied with the Reds, one game back of the Cardinals in the wildcard chase. They host the Royals again today. Because of Packer football, the Brewers game will be heard on Foxsports Radio AM1390 & FM 93.9…pre game show at 12:35.
