WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A man is headed to trial for charges after he crashed his boat at a boat landing in Wausau.
Joel Kleiber, 49, was in Marathon County Circut Court for a preliminary hearing Tuesday morning. Kleiber is facing charges of 2nd-degree recklessly endangering safety and disorderly conduct after witnesses saw him drive his boat at a high speed out of the water onto the boat launch at D.C. Everest Park in August.
At the hearing, Kleiber waived his right to a full preliminary hearing. The court then found probable cause that Kleiber had committed a crime and bound him over for trial. Kleiber also entered a plea of not guilty to both charges.
Kleiber is currently out on bond and will return to court on October 8th for a calander call.
