The Rothschild Police Department is investigating anonymous, threatening letters sent to local Joe Biden supporters, calling them an “enemy” who are easy to target in a “conservative and white neighborhood.” The Daily Herald had the story yesterday.
I always find it funny when Republicans will tell me that racism is “overblown” or even better “doesnt really exist anymore”. It’s fascinating to be that people can live in that much of an alternative reality. I suppose when you are born white and have it hammered into your head by parents, friends or the president that you are “better” than the “other” because of the color of your skin, you would come to believe that to be the case. And yet, here we are in 2020, dealing with crap like this. More comes out every day that much of the violence that happened in our cities was instigated by the white supremacist groups to foment this kind of hate.
I hope these bigots are outed for what they are and are charged with disorderly conduct at the least or federal voter intimidation which would seem to me , to fit the transgression. Hopefully the FBI will be brought in to find these cowardly ass-hats and take appropriate measures.
The cult is alive and well here and take their cues from the administration who are running on this very premise. They don’t even bother to hide their racism anymore. And, if you find anything to praise in this screed, and are preparing for the “war” that you believe is coming….piss right off. This isn’t an “agree to disagree” thing. If you can’t see how damaging this stuff is…seriously, get some help.
Jared Kushner, the poster child for nepotism and white privilege, spews his racist crap this week. As I said, they don’t even hide it anymore. And if it’s you they are targeting with this…well, I don’t expect you to have the self-awareness to understand you have been targeted for their message. Read it here
Do you know who Dr. Ronald Sanders is? Take a moment and find out…this is how you resign. You don’t go quietly and save your bile for a book. you tell people why, in real time.
The choice isn’t hard…..
Nancy Wilson of Heart has a new LP coming out early next year including a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “The Rising”. She said while not being able to tour, she began recording some stuff to keep busy. She had some members of Foo Fighters and Guns & Roses contribute.
Peter Frampton is joining the ranks of musicians who have published their memoir with last week’s publication of “Do You Feel Like I Do?” He says he always wanted to write a book, but after being diagnosed in 2015 with Inclusion Body Myositis, he made it a priority. When it came to choosing a title, Frampton turned to his 1973 song, “Do You Feel Like We Do,” changing the “we” to “I.”

Quotes Of The Day
“We must never forget that Merrick Garland was nominated *8 months* before an election and McConnell didn’t give him a single hearing. Trump is a total disgrace, but Mitch McConnell may go down as the most corrupt and duplicitous politician in modern American history.”-Robert Reich
“If Nixon had gone to jail, there would have been no Trump. If the Iran-Contra co-conspirators had been punished there would have been no Trump. If Cheney & those who authorized torture and the violation of human rights had been held accountable, there would have been no Trump.”-David Rothkopf
“With my favorite Handmaiden of the Law.”-Robert George (he really posted this)
“With Barrett’s vote, the Supreme Court is poised to become a Supreme Board of Elections with freewheeling power to stomp on state courts that try to protect voting rights. What Kavanaugh and Gorsuch did tonight is a five-alarm fire for democracy.”-Jeff Mandell
“It’s like learning a foreign enemy is planning an invasion that would kill hundreds of thousands of Americans, and our elected leaders know how to stop it — but simply decided not to. History will look back on this moment in disbelief and horror.”
