MADISON, WI (WTAQ) — The state of Wisconsin is reporting 107 COVID-19 related deaths on Tuesday, the most they’ve ever reported in a single day.
It comes alongside an additional 4,078 newly confirmed cases of the virus, bringing the state’s total to 391,313.
The 107 deaths bring Wisconsin’s total death toll to 3,420.
While the state is reporting 107 deaths today, it’s not clear how much of those deaths represent a holiday backlog, nor is it indicative of a large, single day spike in the death total. Wisconsin’s deaths per day have actually been declining since their peak on November 3rd.
The Wisconsin DHS considers 319,426 patients to have recovered from COVID-19.
