MADISON, WI (WTAQ) — The Wisconsin Supreme Court will not hear the lawsuit filed Tuesday by the Trump administration arguing that some 200,000 ballots in the state should be thrown out in the November election.
The court argued that the case must first go through the lower courts first before going to the Supreme Court.
President Donald Trump’s team had argued that the Wisconsin Supreme Court should take the case directly instead of winding its way through lower courts, arguing that there wasn’t enough time before the Dec. 14 date when presidential electors cast their votes in the electoral college.
It’s not known if the Trump campaign will attempt to file suit in a lower court.
The campaign filed another suit on Wednesday attempting to dispute the legality of ballot drop boxes in the state, among other claims of election irregularities.
