MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK)– State health officials report COVID-19 cases above Friday’s total cases Saturday as the total number of deaths from the coronavirus have surpassed 4,000.
The DHS on Saturday is reporting 4,059 new cases of the coronavirus with a 29.8% positivity rate.
Saturday’s raw case numbers are up from Friday’s 3,858 cases while the positivity rate is down from Friday’s 34.9%.
The DHS is reporting 50 new COVID-19 deaths Saturday, pushing the total to 4,041 in the state.
Since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, there have been 2,675,364 people tested, 434,016 positive cases, and 2,241,348 negative test results.
As of 11 a.m. Saturday, there are eight patients receiving care at the Alternate Care Facility at Wisconsin State Fair Park.
