WASHINGTON, D.C. (WRN) – U.S. Senator Ron Johnson says up to 60 million Americans do not believe the presidential election won by Democrat Joe Biden was legitimate.
And the Wisconsin Republican blames that on Democrats
“That’s a problem, that’s not sustainable. It really started big time in 2016, when Democrats refused to consider President Trump legitimate. And they blamed it all on Russia.”
Despite the Trump campaign losing a slew of legal challenges, and the Electoral College conforming Biden as the winner, Johnson intends to hold the hearing Wednesday in the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee which he chairs.
Johnson insists he’s wants to address legitimate concerns, while Democrats claim hearing will traffic in unproven conspiracies.
Utah Republican Senator Mitt Romney has said he probably will not participate.
