MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Coronavirus testing and positive results continue to remain low this week in Wisconsin.
On Saturday, the DHS confirmed 1,078 new cases of COVID-19 after 5,054 test results were completed.
Both numbers are down from Friday’s 1,905 new cases and 8,293 total results.
Wisconsin’s seven-day case average is 2,222 as of Saturday.
The state reported only one new COVID-19 death as there are now 4,870 cumulative deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.
Since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, there have been 484,085 positive cases and over 2.3 million negative test results throughout the state.
The DHS considers 452,502 patients to be recovered from COVID-19.
