MADISON, WI (WSAU) — The Wisconsin Badgers found out that they may be facing a familiar face next season.
It was announced Monday that quarterback Jack Coan, who had entered the transfer portal as a senior, will transfer to Notre Dame. The Badgers play the Irish at Soldier Field in Chicago on September 25th.
Coan was the starter for Wisconsin as a junior before breaking his foot in pre-season camp and losing the job to Graham Mertz. He started 18 games and played in 25 for the Badgers.
Coan was recruited by Notre Dame, but to play lacrosse not football.
