The Food and Environment Reporting Network released data from November showing that COVID-19 case rates for meat and poultry workers were more than eight times lower than the general public.
From the data gathered, meat and poultry workers had an average of 5.57 new cases per 100,000 workers per day in November. According to the New York Times, the average new case rate for the United States population was 45.36 cases per 100,000 people per day.
