GREEN BAY, WI (MetroSource-WSAU) — The Green Bay Packers are in the market for a new special teams coordinator.
The team fired Shawn Mennenga on Wednesday after just two seasons as their special-teams coordinator. The Packers struggled on special teams throughout this past season, despite their 13-and-3 record and NFC Championship berth.
Green Bay ranked 29th in special teams, down three spots from 26th last season. Mennenga inherited one of the worst special teams units in the league when he was hired before the 2019 season, when they ranked 32nd under former coordinator Ron Zook.
