A 21-year-old man near Augusta is set to appear in court this week for animal neglect after his property was inspected by humane officers. Devin Malcein faces three counts of animal neglect, jail time, and up to $30,000 in fines.
During the inspection of his property, officers found seven dead calves that had starved to death, loose pigs, and other malnourished animals.
According to the Wisconsin Circuit Court, Malcein’s court appearance is scheduled for February 4th at 11:00 a.m. over Zoom.
