WASHINGTON, DC (WSAU) — One of President Biden’s first domestic visits as the nation’s Commander-in-Chief will be to the Cream City.
The White House announced on Tuesday that Biden will be in Milwaukee on February 16th, but did not release any details about where the visit would occur and what it was for.
CNN has reported that Biden will be partaking in a town-hall-style discussion moderated by Anchor Anderson Cooper.
The Republican Party of Wisconsin was quick to point out that the event will run at the same time as Governor Tony Evers’ scheduled budget address, saying “[e]ither the White House isn’t communicating with Democrat governors, or the Democrats realized that it is in Gov. Evers’ best interest for no one to watch him unveil this budget.“
Biden has made few trips since taking the oath of office. He did a virtual visit to a COVID-19 vacation site Monday at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ.
