STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — The UWSP men’s basketball team dropped a 74-72 decision to UW-Platteville on Wednesday night at Quandt Fieldhouse.
Freshman Anthony Espensen had a season-best 18 points, 12 in the second half as the Pointers rallied in the game. Philip Flory led all scorers with 27 points.
The Pointers, now 1-2, will travel to Platteville on Friday.
The UWSP women’s basketball team earned their first win of the season with a 74-69 victory at Platteville.
Taylor Greenheck led the Pointers with 14 points. Jamie Pfeifer had 13 and Bailee Collins added 10 points and eight rebounds.
The Pointers, now 1-2, will host Platteville on Friday.
The UWSP men’s hockey team beat UW-River Falls 1-0 on Wednesday night at River Falls.
Steven Quagliata had the lone goal in the game. Eli Billing had 24 saves.
The Pointers, now 2-1, will host River Falls on Friday.
The UWSP women’s hockey team fell to River Falls 4-1 on Wednesday night.
Mary Kremer had the lone Pointer goal. Olivia Schultz had 47 saves.
The Pointers, now 0-2-1, will play at River Falls on Friday.
