MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Coronavirus rates in Wisconsin remain at low levels as the state approaches the 1 million mark for vaccinations.
The state Department of Health Services reported just 405 new cases on Monday, down 98 from Valentine’s Day. Monday’s positive test results comprised of 9.9% of the 4,086 total tests completed.
The state added four new COVID-19-related deaths, three more than reported Sunday.
Rolling seven-day averages also continue to fall. As of Monday, the state is averaging 762 new cases and 16 deaths.
Since the pandemic began, there have been 555,708 confirmed cases and 6,166 deaths. DHS lists 538,767 people as have recovered from COVID-19.
Wisconsin continues to inch closer to 1 million vaccinations. DHS reported 976,049 administered vaccinations on Monday, with 715,375 people having received one dose and 240,907 having completed the two-dose course.
