MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Wisconsin has ordered more than 1 million doses of coronavirus vaccine, and has administered nearly 997,000.
The weekly update from the Department of Health Services shows the state’s allocation from the federal government has reached 1.41 million doses, with nearly 1.06 million of those ordered. Of the doses administered, 726,314 have been first doses and 249,933 the second of the two-dose course.
Among those 65 and older, 40.4% have received at least one dose and 4.8% both doses.
On Monday, 15,076 doses were administered in Wisconsin.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, DHS reported 624 new cases, or 19.4% of the 3,218 tests given. Another 38 people died of complications of COVID-19, the illness caused by the new coronavirus.
Rolling seven-day averages moved to 754 new cases and 16 deaths per day.
Since the pandemic began, Wisconsin has seen 556,332 confirmed cases and 6,204 deaths.
