WASHINGTON DC (MetroSource-WSAU) — Americans are one step closer to getting those 14-hundred-dollar stimulus checks. The House of Representatives passed a one-point-nine-trillion-dollar pandemic relief package early Saturday.
The bill now goes to the Senate, where lawmakers are expected to remove a provision that would increase the federal minimum wage. If the bill passes the Senate, Americans who are eligible could be getting direct payments of 14-hundred dollars.
The bill also includes an extension of supplemental unemployment benefits and an increase to the child tax credit.
