STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — The UWSP baseball team ran their record to 4-2 with a doubleheader sweep of UW-Oshkosh on Monday at Zimmerman Field. The scores were 11-1 and 7-2.
Aaron Simmons had three hits including a pair of home runs. He drove in four and scored three times. Rhinelander native Brad Comer had two hits in each game. He also hit a homw run and scored three times.
Wausau West grad Payton Nelson had two hits and three RBI’s in Game 2. Tommy Duddleston added three RBIs as well.
Wisconsin Rapids grad Caleb Krommenakker went 5 innings to pick up a win in Game 2. Wisconsin Rapids grads Nathan Krommenakker and Tyler Beyer also pitched in Game 2.
The Pointers will face off with UW-Stout on Wednesday in doubleheader action at 1pm also in Stevens Point.
