Max Pacioretty and Tomas Nosek both collected one goal and two assists to pace the visiting Vegas Golden Knights to a 6-2 victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday.
Mark Stone and Alex Tuch netted one goal and one assist apiece in the win, and Chandler Stephenson and Alex Pietrangelo added goals as the Golden Knights won their fourth straight game.
Vegas goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury made 20 saves for his 485th career regular-season win, moving him out of a tie with Ed Belfour and into sole possession of fourth on the all-time list. He trails only Martin Brodeur (691), Patrick Roy (551) and Roberto Luongo (489).
Trevor Moore scored both goals for the Kings, who lost their second straight game. Adrian Kempe had two assists. Goaltender Jonathan Quick surrendered three goals on eight shots in the first period before being pulled in favor of Calvin Petersen, who stopped 21 shots in relief.
Avalanche 4, Blues 3
Newly acquired Devan Dubnyk made 31 saves as Colorado held off host St. Louis to run its record to 17-1-2 in the past 20 games.
No. 1 Avalanche goaltender Philipp Grubauer was sidelined due to COVID-19 protocol. Mikko Rantanen and J.T. Compher each had a goal and an assist for Colorado, Brandon Saad and Pierre-Edouard Bellemare also scored and Liam O’Brien recorded two assists.
Mike Hoffman recorded two goals and an assist for the Blues, who had their three-game winning streak snapped. Vince Dunn also scored and Jordan Binnington stopped 24 of 28 shots.
Wild 5, Coyotes 2
Mats Zuccarello scored twice on the power play and Nick Bonino had a goal with two assists as Minnesota sent Arizona to its fifth straight regulation defeat at St. Paul, Minn.
Zach Parise produced a goal and an assist, Jared Spurgeon also had a goal and Cam Talbot made 28 saves for Minnesota, which converted on all three of its power-play chances.
The Wild, 12-for-24 with the man-advantage in seven games this month, outscored Arizona 16-3 while winning all four home meetings this season. Jakob Chychrun and Phil Kessel scored for the Coyotes while Antti Raanta stopped 17 shots.
Flames 4, Canadiens 1
Mark Giordano collected one goal and one assist and Jacob Markstrom made 26 saves as visiting Calgary moved within four points of Montreal, which holds the fourth and final playoff position in the North Division.
Noah Hanifin, Josh Leivo and Sean Monahan also scored for the Flames, who have won three straight games. Markstrom, who struggled for a month after returning from injury, has allowed only three goals in his last three games. In his four games against the Canadiens, Markstrom has surrendered only three goals.
Brett Kulak scored for the struggling Canadiens, who received a 30-save performance from Jake Allen. Montreal has just one win in five games (1-4-0). The Canadiens do have three games in hand on Calgary.
Jets 3, Senators 2
Mathieu Perreault and Trevor Lewis led a third-period surge on special teams as Winnipeg won at Ottawa.
With the score tied 1-1 at 2:07 of the third frame, Perreault converted a delayed wrist shot from the circle for a power-play goal. Ottawa looked to equalize on a power play of its own midway through the period, except Lewis capitalized on a turnover to score a short-handed goal.
Mark Scheifele scored the Jets’ other goal as Winnipeg improved to 8-3-1 over its last 12 games. Laurent Brossoit made 27 saves for the win. Nick Paul and Josh Norris scored for Ottawa, and Thomas Chabot had two assists. Senators goalie Matt Murray returned from a 14-game injury absence and stopped 32 shots.
Ducks 4, Sharks 1
Anthony Stolarz made 27 saves to lead Anaheim to its second straight win at San Jose. Stolarz set a franchise record on Monday for most saves in a shutout when he stopped 46 shots in a 4-0 win against the Sharks.
Alexander Volkov and Derek Grant each had a goal and an assist, and Ryan Getzlaf also scored for the Ducks, whose only wins in the past eight games have come in San Jose.
Erik Karlsson scored a six-on-five goal at 17:44 of third period to spoil Stolarz’s chance for a second straight shutout. Josef Korenar made his first NHL start for the Sharks and finished with 23 saves.
