STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — The UWSP baseball team stayed hot with a doubleheader sweep of UW-La Crosse on Wednesday. The scores were 11-2 and 11-8.
Aaron Simmons extended his hitting streak to 15 games with a pair of hits in each game. He had a homerun and five RBIs in game 1.
Quin Henwood had 5 RBIs in game 2 and Kyle Finger was 4-5 inclduing a home run in game 1.
Casey Pickering pitched 7 innings for the win in game one and Sidney Ferry picked up the win in relief in game two.
The Pointers, now 14-3, 9-1 in conference, will play a DH at La Crosse on Saturday.
