MADISON, WI (WSAU) –A former Wisconsin player and assistant coach will be back on the staff for the Badger men’s basketball team.
Sharif Chambliss, who played at Wisconsin for one season in 2004-05 after transferring from Penn State and later was an assistant under Bo Ryan, will join Greg Gard’s staff.
Chambliss will replace Alando Tucker who served as an interim coach for the last two seasons and was not expected to return. Tucker was filling in for Howard Moore who was seriously injured in a traffic accident.
Chambliss has been as assistant at Wright State for the last five seasons.
