The National Holstein Association announced their 2020 Herds of Excellence winners and six out of the nine dairy farms are located in Wisconsin. Each dairy on the list has met very specific factors to even be considered for the award.
To be recognized, each farm had to fit the following criteria:
- Be 25% above breed average Mature Equivalent for milk, fat, and protein
- Classified within the last year and have an actual average classification score of 83 points or higher
- Must have at least 70% of the herd homebred
- Must be enrolled in the National Holstein Association’s TriStar program
The dairy farms are split into three divisions depending on herd size; small herd (10-99 cows), medium herd (100-499 cows), and large herd (500+ cows). Congratulations to the following winners from America’s Dairyland!
Small Division:

- Ever-Green-View Holsteins, LLC in Waldo
- Hill-Ton Holsteins in Cuba City
Medium Division:
- Hilrose Holsteins in Sherwood
- Koepke Farms Inc. in Oconomowoc
Large Division:
- Siemers Holstein Farms in Newton
