WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A closed-session meeting of the North Central Community Services Program Board has been scheduled for 6:30 PM Thursday, two days after it was announced that NCHC CEO Michael Loy was placed on paid administrative leave.
According to the posted agenda for Thursday’s meeting, the board will consider the implementation of board direction regarding certain personnel and otherwise legal positions and alternatives. Reasons for the closed session including public business where competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session and discussion with legal counsel regarding litigation in which the board is or is likely to become involved.
The agenda does included open session before adjournment to take action on the items discussed in closed session, if any.
Loy was placed on leave late Tuesday afternoon. While a spokeswoman for NCHC did not specify the reason for the move, a press release did state that the group had recently conducted a third-party review of compensation and benefits received by employees. Details of that review are forthcoming.
Loy has been with NCHC for nearly four years. Chief Financial Officer Jill Meschke has been appointed as interim CEO.
The Board had scheduled a similarly-worded closed session for Wednesday evening, but quickly canceled it and scheduled a new one for Thursday.
