MERRILL, WI (WSAU) — The City of Merrill will be using some of its ARA funding to provide grants for local non-profits and event organizers that promote tourism through local events.
According to Administrator David Johnson, the city is now taking applications for one-time grants to be distributed to those hosting events in 2021. The application can be found on the city’s website or at the city clerk’s office in City Hall.
Those applying will be required to submit their complete organizational budget and sources of funding. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
Qualifying programs will receive a letter from the city with their awarded dollar amount and further instructions.
Johnson adds that the program will remain in place until further notice or until all funds are exhausted. Anyone with further questions is asked to contact City Hall at 715-536-5594.
