WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Few details came out of a closed session meeting at North Central Health Care Thursday evening.
The closed session meeting of the North Central Community Services Program Board Thursday night lasted for just about two hours before reconvening into open session. The committee was agendized to consider the implementation of board direction regarding certain personnel and otherwise legal positions and alternatives.
Reasons for the closed session including public business where competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session and discussion with legal counsel regarding litigation in which the board is or is likely to become involved. In open session Committee Chair, Kurt Gibbs said that no action is being taken at this time as discussions continue. “The Executive Committee is continuing it’s discussion on the employment of an employee,”.
NCHC placed CEO Michael Loy on administrative leave earlier this week with few details. A press release of the move did state that NCHC had recently conducted a third-party review of compensation and benefits received by employees. Details of that review are forthcoming.
Loy has been with NCHC for nearly four years. Chief Financial Officer Jill Meschke has been appointed as interim CEO. No further meeting date for the NCCSP Executive Committee has been scheduled at this time.
