TOWN OF PINE GROVE, WI (WSAU) — Two people were injured in a single-vehicle crash on Harding Road in the Portage County Town of Pine Grove Monday morning.
Crews were called to the intersection of Harding and Mosquito Bluff Road at around 3:30 AM where they found the overturned pickup. An investigation revealed that the driver of the vehicle lost control and left the roadway, flipping several times. Both the driver and a passenger were thrown from the vehicle.
One of the victims, a 23-year-old from Pine Grove, was airlifted from the scene. The other, a 22-year-old from Adams County, was taken to a Stevens Point hospital by ambulance.
An update on the condition of the victims has not been made available. No further information, including if alcohol or speed were factors in the crash, has been given.
The Portage County Sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate the crash. Other responders included the Bancroft, Almont, and Plover Fire Departments along with Bancroft Emergency Medical Responders.
