RHINELANDER, WI (WSAU) — A Rhinelander woman has entered pleas after being accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old child.
Stacy Melby, 37, was in Oneida County Circut Court for an arraignment hearing on Monday afternoon. Melby is facing two felony counts for having sexual relations with a teenager, using of a computer to facilitate a child sex crime, intentionally contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and second-degree sexual assault.
At the hearing, Melby pleaded not guilty to the 6 charges against her. She is currently out on a $10,000 cash bond. Melby will return to court the afternoon of August 17th for a pretrial conference
Court documents show Melby has admitted to having sexual relations with a teen. Text messages also show confirmed sexual contact with the teen and drug use. Melby is also accused of letting the children she watched smoke and drink alcohol in the home where she ran her business.
