The Wisconsin DNR is sending out a reminder for eligible disabled hunters that are wanting to hunt in the 2021 gun deer season for hunters with disabilities to contact a hunt sponsor to sign up before September 1st, 2021.
There are almost 90 sponsors who have enrolled thousands of acres of land across Wisconsin for this year’s hunt happening October 2nd through the 10th. In order to participate in the 2021 season, hunters should contact a sponsor directly. Hunters are advised to contact potential sponsors as early as possible for the best selection. All eligible hunters may sign up for one property per year and must have a gun deer license.
When contacting your sponsors directly to sign up for the hunt, you need to provide your name, contact information, and DNR customer ID number. To be eligible, hunters must have a valid Class A, C, or D disabled permit or a Class B permit issued for longer than a year.
