MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — It was a long, ugly night at American Family Field as the St. Louis Cardinals hammered the Milwaukee Brewers 15-4 on Friday night.
Freddy Peralta returned from the injured list and only lasted 2 innings giving up four runs on three hits. Four other Brewer pitchers all gave up runs in the game and two of them, Justin Topa and Daniel Norris left with injuries.
The Cardinals hit five homers in the game including a grand slam from Yadier Molina. Adam Wainright went 6+ innings for the win.
Luis Urias was 3-4 for Milwaukee with an RBI. Rowdy Tellez drove in two and Lorenzo Cain added an RBI.
The Brewers magic number actually dropped to 17 as the Red lost last night as well.
