STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point has once again been named one of the best public universities in the midwest according to US News and World Report.
The 2022 rankings have UWSP ranked 14th in the 12-state region. Among the metrics considered in the ranking included student-to-faculty ratio, retention of first-year students, and cost of attendance.
The University also ranked when in the area of social mobility- which takes into account how many students from lower-income families graduate from UWSP.
Several other UW schools were mentioned in the top 20 of the US News and World Report rankings including UW La Crosse, Whitewater, Platteville, and Stout. The #1 school on the list was Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri.
