CRANDON, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — Leaders in the Crandon School District have announced that in-person classes will not be held from Tuesday through Friday due to various health issues with students and staff.
They said in a post on their website that they’re seeing a “dramatic” increase in the number of children who have come down with COVID-19, RSV, and hand, foot, and mouth disease. Because of that, they will move to online learning for the rest of the week.
When in-person classes resume on October 4th all students and staff will be required to wear face coverings as well. That’s expected to last through the end of October.
In addition to the cancelation of classes, there will be no after-school activities for the rest of the week. Athletic events will either be rescheduled or canceled outright.
