ST. LOUIS, MO (WSAU) — The St. Louis Cardinals won their 17th straight game and in the process clinched the 2nd wildcard playoff spot in the National League. They beat the Milwaukee Brewers 6-2 on Tuesday night at Busch Stadium.
Milwaukee’s only runs came on a two run homer from Luis Urias. It was his 22nd home run of the season. Urias had two hits in the game as did Jace Peterson.
Brandon Woodruff started for the Brewers and went just four innings giving up seven hits and 2 runs.
St. Louis got homers from Nolan Arenado, Dylan Carlson and Tyler O’Neill.
The two teams play again tonight…pre game show at 6:10 on WSAU.
