STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — The UWSP womens soccer team knocked off Carthage 4-0 on Wednesday.
Kati Frierdich had two goals for the Pointers. Gabby Dunn scored and Hannah Kroupa tallied on a penalty kick. Brookelyn Heiss had four saves.
The Pointers, now 4-7, will host UW-La Crosse on Saturday.
The 19th ranked UWSP volleyball team dropped a straight sets match at Augsburg in Minneapolis 25-23, 25-22 and 25-23.
Reis Derousseau had a career-best 11 kills. Ashley Kopp led the Pointers with 16 kills. Wausau West grad Grace Michalske had a team-high 34 assists.
The Pointers, now 15-3, will play at UW-Stout on Friday.
The UWSP womens tennis team kept it rolling with a 9-0 whitewash of UW-Oshkosh on Wednesday. The victory extends the Pointer win total and winning streak to 13.
Barbara Covek won her singles match and teamed with Jenna Koepp to win at #1 doubles as well.
The Pointers will head to Milwaukee on Saturday for matches with Concordia-Chicago and Alverno.
